Young adults throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are invited to gather at the National Shrine of Saint John Neumann with Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez to celebrate the launch of the Young Catholic Professionals chapter in Philadelphia on Saturday, August 21, 2021.

The evening will begin with Mass in the Upper Church at 6:00 p.m. Archbishop Pérez will be the principal celebrant and homilist. Following the liturgy Jennifer Baugh, YCP’s Founder and National Executive Director, will speak to the group and introduce members of the Philadelphia Chapter’s leadership team at the Saint John Neumann Center. All will then have an opportunity to share time in networking and fellowship.

In July, Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced that Archbishop Pérez had approved the establishment of a local chapter in Philadelphia.

YCP is a national organization that brings together young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s into a community of encouragement at all stages of their faith journeys. YCP equips them with the tools to live their Catholic faith through everyday work and to perform all work for the glory of God. Currently, YCP has 27 chapters across the country, with four others currently underway.

The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia (CFGP) recently awarded a $25,000 grant from its Ministry Support Fund to YCP to establish the founding chapter within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

This event is free and all are welcome to attend. To register or for more information,  please visit https://www.ycpphiladelphia.org/cpages/home.
