The response for the psalm for the weekend reads, “I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and you fill me with the joy of salvation.”  It reminds me of the Beatles song “Let it Be”.  “When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be”.  The psalms were generally songs that the Jewish people would sing so it somewhat related, but not completely.  Unfortunately, the Beatles song does not have to do with the Blessed Mother.  The psalm, however, points us toward our goal for Lent - to turn to Him.

He is constantly calling us.  He is constantly beckoning us.  If we but turn the eyes of our soul to Him.  We have so many opportunities this Lent, even during a pandemic, to turn to Him more.
