Dear Friends:

As of today, I am suspending indefinitely all non-sacramental activities & gatherings within our parish, as is being advised by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in order to try to prevent further spread of the Coronavirus.  It is very important, especially for those of us older than 60 & with underlying health conditions, to remain vigilant & cautious.

Until & unless we are given direction from competent authority to close down entirely, we will continue offering daily & weekend Masses, scheduled confessions, baptisms, funerals, weddings, anointing of the sick/last rites, & perpetual adoration.  You are welcome, of course, to be creative in continuing the forward motion of your group by means of the telephone or even to have meetings via technology--such as teleconferencing or Skype.

The rectory office will be closed to the public, though of course any emergency situations will receive a prompt response.  We may still be able to issue various certificates, Mass cards, etc. by means of our rectory mailbox, so as to avoid person-to-person contact.

The experts are advising us to practice "social distancing,"--which over time can in turn enable loneliness & even a sense of personal isolation; so let's keep praying for one another & checking-in with family/friends/neighbors/ colleagues.  These troubling times truly are a test of our faith, & we need to pray ardently that our Lord will intervene to curtail the spread of this potentially deadly virus.

Please, do your very best to keep yourself & your loved ones safe & healthy.  I am praying daily for all of us, & may God have mercy on us during these trying times.

God bless,

Fr. Terry
