SEPTEMBER 22-24
St. John Neumann, the 4th bishop of Philadelphia, instituted the 40 Hours Devotion as a special, annual time of parish Eucharistic devotion—long before the advent of perpetual adoration in parishes. Because we have 24/7 perpetual Eucharistic adoration here, the topic was discussed last year by the parish council & the conclusion was that we should move away from 40 Hours & into an annual Parish Mission, which will occur over Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday nights from 7-8 pm. in the Upper Church. It will be led by Fr. Steve DeLacy, the Vocations Director for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Please join us for an hour each night, which will include on Monday night an opportunity to go to confession—with multiple priests here to assist.
The topics for each night: "A Journey with the Archangels: Message, Healing, and Spiritual Warfare".
The collection envelope marked 40 Hours can be used for our Parish Mission collection.
