A Most Fitting Honor & Celebration:  Our Visitation BVM school community is greatly blest by the dedication & commitment of so many—among whom Mrs. Theresa Conte shines like the Star of Bethlehem!  Mrs. Conte recently received very well-deserved recognition for her 43 years of loyal service as the principal’s secretary at our parish school.  The Foundation for Catholic Education hosted their annual Hall of Fame Gala at Normandy Farms on Thursday evening, November 29th at which Mrs. Conte was among 3 persons awarded for their longstanding & generous contributions to our school in particular & to Catholic education in Montgomery County generally.  We are proud of & grateful to you Theresa, for your loving service among us, since Msgr. Clemens hired you a few years ago!  Your example of gracious welcoming & protective nurturance are a real & present blessing.

Outstanding Parish Christmas Bazaar:  Every November Visi awaits, with great anticipation, the opening of the annual Christmas Bazaar--& this year was no different.  I am most grateful for the many hands & hearts that worked tirelessly to host a great weekend for the bazaar; many were heard to remark that this was the best one ever in the bazaar’s long history.  Some highlights included an opportunity for Eucharistic worship in the Blessed Sacrament chapel adjacent to the gymnasium—which commemorated our 20th Anniversary of offering Perpetual Adoration here at Visitation.  The wheel of cheer & baked goods are always a popular venue, & this year yours truly baked some peanut butter cookies as my small offering (no reports of anyone falling ill, thanks be to God!)  The hall of decorated Christmas trees & the beautifully themed baskets—along with the 1st ever indoor Social Garden made this a truly memorable event!  Thank you so much to Dom Zampogna, John Larcinese & Company for all your hard work & great efforts to produce a wonderful weekend.

Welcome, Fr. Michael Di Gregorio, OSA:  I am happy to welcome Fr. Michael as our new weekend priest visitor who will help us with a Mass most weekends.  I express my thanks to Fr. Francis Caponi, OSA—who helped us over the past year & who informed us that his service would finish at the end of October.  Fr. Di Gregorio now serves as the provincial superior for the Augustinians, & I am very thankful that we continue to benefit in our weekend liturgies with the help of the Augustinian Fathers.  Please give Fr. Michael a warm Visi welcome when you may have an opportunity to meet & greet him on an upcoming weekend.
