Religious Education Corner

“God so loved the world, that He sent His only Son, that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Salvation has come into the world with the greatest gift possible – God’s own Son. While this saying is seen on billboards, car stickers and posters in many places, this Sunday of Lent gives us the opportunity to restore to this scriptural reference a new sense of reverence and understanding. Our Parish Family is asked to remember all sacramental candidates for this year in their prayers. Please remember our young people who are in the Confirmation preparation program, our little children who are preparing for First Holy Communion and our adult catechumens and candidates in the RCIA Process who will receive their sacraments at the Easter Vigil and in Easter Week. PREP students and families are reminded that the Rice Bowl received a few weeks ago will be due back on March 26th or April 9th. Thank you for practicing works of mercy through the rice bowl. God bless your Lenten journey! First Eucharist record-keeping form and fee were due on February 26, 2018. Parents who haven’t done so to date are reminded to complete these requirements as soon as possible. Thank you to all who did hand in these items. God bless…
