Into your hands I commend my soul: I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surr...

I had a spiritual director (a priest you would meet with and discuss where God is in your life and your spiritual practices and such) who was this young, Italian priest who really challenged you to apply yourself in your spiritual practices.  One week, I really applied myself to all my spiritual practices and was feeling pretty good about myself.  So we met at the end of the week and I told him all of these wonderful things I was doing.  After listening to these accomplishments, with a straight face, he responded, “You’re nothing.”  This response took me by complete surprise, so I went...

As the world begins to come back to life again, and we get back into some sort of rhythm of life, it’s important for us to have that reminder.  He is there.  He is loving life into us.  He is on our side.  What have ...
