Holy Family of Nazareth Sisters in Ukraine

The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth who have served our Parish for over sixty years are a worldwide congregation of Religious Sisters.  Currently there are sixteen Sisters of these Sisters serving in the Ukraine.  Although they were asked a few weeks ago if they wanted to leave for safer territories, they chose to stay with the people.  Currently they are serving food and providing shelter for the people in the parishes and other ministries in which they serve during the days and sleeping in the basements of Churches, rectories and monasteries at night.  A few of the Sisters are native Ukrainians and others were born in various European countries.  They have said they will not abandon Ukraine but will stay with the people.  One Sister commented to our Superior General who is American that she wishes the madness would come to an end.  In any case, they are determined to assist the people who wish to remain in the country.  Please pray the rosary or part of a rosary for the Sisters and all who live and serve in the Ukraine.  Another Sister commented that they can sleep a little at night because the Sisters and their friends in America are praying the rosary for them.
