“If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.”

In my parents’ house on Long Island, my mother has this little 4 inch framed sign on the island countertop in the kitchen.  It reads, “Good morning.  This is God.  I’ll be taking care of all your worries today.”  I always laugh at the sign - but it always stays with me.

As the world begins to come back to life again, and we get back into some sort of rhythm of life, it’s important for us to have that reminder.  He is there.  He is loving life into us.  He is on our side.  What have we to worry about?  A good way to remember this is when you wake up in the morning everyday this week, before you even get out of your bed, to take a couple of deep breaths.  When you do, know that He is there.  Know in the depths of your soul that He chooses to love life into you in that very moment.  The fact is - God doesn’t need us.  He is God.  He needs nothing.  So the only reason for those breaths that you are taking is because He chooses to love life into you at that very moment.  And just be grateful.  If we carry that during the course of our day, as things start to get busy - our faith will ground us and guide us.  Our hearts will not be hardened - but open to hear the voice of our loving Father.

Just a couple of updates:
School began this past week.  Everything went very smoothly and according to plan.  Thank you to the administration, teachers, parents, Home and School, and any other volunteers or helpers that helped to make the school safe for the students coming back.  We will continue to need everyone’s support as we navigate during these constantly changing times.

I want to thank everyone for your welcome to the Visi family.  It is humbling to be here with you to walk in faith together.  I hit the ground running (more like sprinting) and am excited to get involved.  So many people love this Church.  It is a pleasure to be a part of it.

May the Lord give you His peace,

-Fr. Bob
