CYO Annual Awards

SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARD

Given to the student who demonstrates excellent academic and athletic abilities that include high grade point average and active participation in the athletic program during his/her years spent here at Visitation. This award is determined by the CYO Priest Moderator and the School Principal.

SISTER CHRISANNE MEMORIAL AWARDS

The Sister Chrisanne Memorial Award is presented annually to the eighth grade girl and boy who were the most actively involved in the CYO Program throughout all their years of participation and whose attitude exemplifies the spirit and ideals of the Visitation B.V.M. Catholic Youth Organization. Multiple activities and number of years of participation in each of the activities, along with the demonstration of the spirit and ideals of the Visitation Program are the criteria for the award.

PRINCIPAL’S SPIRITUAL/SERVICE AWARD

The Principal’s Spiritual/Service Award is presented annually to one seventh or eighth grade student/CYO participant who demonstrates outstanding qualities in the practice of the spiritual and service phases of the catholic Youth Organization.

JUNIOR VARSITY AWARD

"JV Spirit" award - the recipient of this award is not necessarily the best athlete on the team but rather that individual who demonstrates the fundamental attributes of teamwork, attitude, commitment, and an understanding of the sport. 

VARSITY AWARDS

At the end of each season, varsity coaches have an opportunity to select three (3) players to receive the following awards:

Coach's Award: Given to the individual who has contributed the most to the sport in all areas including morale, spirit, sportsmanship, and commitment.

Achievement Award: Awarded to the most improved player during the season.

Most Valuable Player: The player who contributes the most athletically to the team.
