CYO

Welcome

The CYO is an organization of the youth of our parish, guided by caring adult volunteers with the purpose of helping its members become ideal Catholics, loyal to God and country, and a credit to their Church, their community and themselves. This help is provided through a blend of five phases of programs and development: Spiritual, Cultural, Social, Athletic and Service. The CYO is for the youth of our parish, with activities and programs designed to highlight, enrich, and develop the special talents that our youth possess.

Our Visitation BVM CYO Priest-moderator is Father Bob Gross.  Our Chief Adult Advisor is John Pascucci.  Please contact John Pascucci with any general questions regarding our program via email johnp16@gmail.com

Welcome to Visitation BVM's CYO Program

All our sessions are available to Visitation BVM School and PREP students. You must be a registered member of our school or PREP classes to register and participate in our program.

All families participating in our CYO program are asked to volunteer in some capacity - Pee Wee, JV, and Varsity.  Therefore at least one parent/guardian needs to have updated clearances.  This is an Archdiocesan rule.  Failure to comply will result in your child's removal from our program. Any questions regarding clearances should be directed to Megan Cleary at visitationbvmregistrar@gmail.com.  Questions regarding the policy should be directed to our Chief Adult Advisor John Pascucci at johnp16@gmail.com

For Registration questions contact: Megan Cleary via email visitationbvmregistrar@gmail.com

For Sports program questions contact our acting Athletic Director, John Pascucci via email at  jjohnp16@gmail.com.

All of the Visitation's CYO Programs are available via Teamsnap by going to https://visitationbvm.teamsnapsites.com/register/ to register/ and following directions and logging in.

Attention Parents, Parishioners, and Friends....

Please consider giving of your time and talent to assist our CYO program in any way that you can. The continued success and growth of this wonderful youth ministry depends upon each of us. Whether you are a parent of a pre-school child, a school-aged child, a high school student, an "empty nester", or have no children at all, the Visitation CYO can benefit from your involvement.

ATTENTION ALL CYO VOLUNTEERS!!!

All volunteers working with any group that has contact with the youth of the parish in any way are required to attend a session of Protecting God's Children for Adults (VIRTUS) training which is required for all adults who volunteer at Visitation BVM Parish

For a list of the sites holding this training visit the Virtus website at www.virtus.org.

There are a number of training sessions being hosted in our area this fall.

See the VIRTUS website for details. For a complete listing of requirements

VISITATION BVM CYO UPDATE

Welcome to Visitation BVM’s CYO Program: All CYO sessions are available to Visitation BVM School and PREP students. You must be a registered member of our school or PREP classes to register and participate in our program. (Visitation Gladiator Football does allow participation from our partner parishes.)

Our JV sports programs are open to our 5th and 6th grade students. Varsity sports are open to our 7th and 8th grade students. Our Pee Wee programs are offered for our K-4 grade students. Our Pee Wee programs include soccer in the fall; basketball in the winter; track and cheer in the spring. We publish all important registration dates and provide communication updates through Sports Illustrated Play and our Facebook page. Sports Illustrated Play is our system of record. This system is where all registration is done. Our rosters are created from this system and submitted to the region for approval. It is our primary source of communication. It is extremely important that all families keep their accounts updated with accurate and current information. Access to our system can be found on the Visitation BVM website under Catholic Youth Organization or by logging into: Teamsnap.

All coaching candidates MUST have current clearances. Required clearance can be found on the Visitation BVM School website. Our programs are successful because of the volunteerism of our parents. We appreciate your consideration.

If you are an adult parishioner, please consider serving on the CYO Adult Advisory Board.  It is a great way to meet other people and stay involved with your children’s activities.  For more information, please contact John Pascucci at johnp16@gmail.com.
